Alain Rousset, President of the New Aquitaine Region, visits Archiblock

On Thursday 25 March, Alain Rousset, surrounded by a delegation of local representatives, discovered with great interest the new production site built by the Archimbaud group in Mauzé-sur-le-Mignon (southern Deux-Sèvres).

Having started production in the spring of 2020, the first French manufacturing site for 100% recycled wood pallet blocks represents an investment of 22 million Euros. This ambitious industrial project has received financial support from the New Aquitaine Region for innovation and the circular economy, as well as aid from the Ademe for material recovery.

Particularly aware of industrial ecology issues, President Rousset was also very interested in another large-scale project under development within the group: the production of bio-hydrogen from wood pellets. He was also able to discover the new constructive solution of large wooden panels developed by the Mellois design office BA Bois and the Thébault group and which has elected its prototyping site in the Archiblock premises.
